The Antitrust Review of the Americas 2017: United States: Class Actions

Attorneys in Weil’s Antitrust/Competition practice recently wrote a chapter on U.S. class action litigation for the 2017 edition of Global Competition Review’s Antitrust Review of the Americas, a leading industry publication. In this chapter, the authors provide an overview of the procedural and substantive issues currently in play when defending against these lawsuits in U.S. courts, which should be helpful to any company with potential exposure to antitrust class actions – whether based on government investigations or because they compete in industries subject to cyclical allegations of price-fixing by an aggressive plaintiffs’ bar.
